Suffolk House Through Maria and Fitri. Art Exhibition at Penang Suffolk House (15th to 16th August 2015)

Throwback from Tutti Art Club show which was recently held at Penang Suffolk House from 15th to 16th August 2015.
Participating artists were Maria Soo (25) and Fitri Raslan (20).
The show was officially launch by Mr Lee Khai, a prominent lawyer with Ong and Manecksha who is also an art collector and curator. It was a wonderful afternoon attended by some friends and family members. We also met some visitors and received good responds about the show.
We also had the privilege to be interviewed by the Star in Penang.

The art exhibition was a collaborative work with Suffolk House a year ago to promote the art of special artists. The theme of the show was about Suffolk House. 20 paintings were up at the Marbel Hall for two days showing the exterior and interior parts of Suffolk House. Both the artists managed to paint the place with so much colours and created a wonderful atmosphere at the Marbel Hall and the Reception Hall.
There were also a painting session by the two artists on that weekend. It was a great experience for Maria and Fitri to paint in a public space. Besides having the chance to socialise with some visitors, they also met some parents with special needs who were amazed with their works.
It was an eye opener for some parents who attended the show.

Thank you again to those who came to support them. This show really boosted their self esteem and confidence. They were still talking about the trip after the show.
Hopefully there will be more travel trips for the two artists in the future.
Congratulations again to Maria and Fitri.
