Art launch is on 8th November at 3pm by Prof Datuk Dr Haji Megat Burhainuddin, the Vice Chancellor and Chief Executive Officer of Nilai University. Ryan Raveen Raj is a 14 year old who was diagnosed with Down’s Syndrome at a very early age. He currently is undergoing skill based education in SM Sinar Bintang, Kepong, where he has managed to maintain good grades while showing improvements as time progresses. Ryan Raveen Raj’s flare for giving life to imagination began at the age of 11 years, when he started communicating through drawing. As a child, he discovered the joy of creativity through favourites such as the animated movie Madagascar, Finding Nemo and Kung Fu Panda. Through the support of family and his teacher, Tan See Ling, what were mere scribbles slowly started to take shape as animals and characters that Ryan had a fondness for. Strong themes of animals and cartoon characters are powerful indicators of his child like wonder. When away from his drawing table, Ryan enjoys playing with our pet dogs, surfing the web, watching movies and also playing on his tablet.
